In so many instances people only take time out of their busy schedule to complain. Well you should know that is not the case here. We sit here on our screened in porch with smiles on our faces as we look around at the quality and craftsmanship. It is truly beyond my expectations. The additional suggestions you made regarding the lighting has proven to be extremely helpful especially late at night when the dog goes outside. The insulation was a big help over this winter as well. The fact that there were no hidden costs and everything was up front and honest was refreshing. Too many times we have had bad experiences with “unexpected costs” with other contractors. Your price quotes are precise and accurate.

One of the reasons we wanted to write to you is to tell you about a visit we had with our uncle who is a retired contractor from Ulster County. He has visited our home over the years and has always found flaws with previous home improvement projects of ours. Well, he walked onto the porch and stopped short. He said, “WOW who did this, the woodwork is outstanding”. He pointed out different things that he said must have been very difficult to do properly because of the preexisting structure you had to deal with. It takes a lot to get a complement out of him so we appreciated the porch even more.

The porch is not the only work we are pleased with. The new architectural shingled roof looks great. We know it is going to last us a long time too. Also, we must say we think of you every time the sub pump kicks on which it did plenty of during the recent rain and defrosting of the snow. Truthfully we cannot say anything negative about our experiences with you. This is almost unheard of when dealing with a contractor. The fact is that you were hear when you said you would be, the work was completed when you said it would be and during each project, when you or your crew left for the evening, the area was clean and neat. Thank you for all of the great work you have done for us. We are sure it has increased the value of our home.

After having looked into a number of contractors to build our addition, my wife and I settled on Gelsomino Construction. We are extremely happy that we did.
